German medieval music - Corvus Corax, they wear leather skirts and half-armour, play industrial-sized bagpipes (dudelsaks) and sing in latin. Fantastic!

Punk, D&B, Folk, Folk metal, Ska, Ska punk.....

I'm pretty ecclectic in my music tastes. Everything from Hedningarna and Mediaeval Baebes to Finntroll and Metallica, to Shy FX and Pendulum and Stiff Little Fingers, Rancid and Catch 22

There is a DVD of them playing live, which is absolutely storming + there are clips of them dancing on glass, fire-breathing, and mysteriously tarring and feathering themselves.

You can get it from Grave News

They are the only genres I really don't like. The music I tend to hate most though is the sort that is pumped at high volume out of passing cars' windows.

I object to "trance" "garage" and "techno" being in the same category, yet I understand how that could possibly be confusing to the layman.

I write and listen to _GOOD_ electronic music, above all else. deep, funky, trippy and hypnotic, at the best of times.

Freydis
Kind of ecclectic, me. I like classical, opera, metal, swing, folk depends what mood I'm in. Favourite bands/artists include Dragonforce, Genesis (but only with Peter Gabriel), Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, The Roaches ......could go on longer (I have been known to listen a bit of Andrew Lloyd-Webber). Really depends how I'm feeling.

Mostly depends on the mood. I'm in a hard-rock mood today, but still like some serious electronica when I can find the good stuff.

Currently listening to Amy Winehouse. Though I'd class her as classic rock 'n' roll/easy/jazz, she's got a hard-rock attitude.

Nothing's ever simple, eh. wink.gif
Ozz
I'm hearing the term "chav jazz" being bandied about for Amy Winehouse, Lilly Allen et al... i kinda think it fits biggrin.gif

yeah, i'm another of the eccletic music listeners.... mostly folky, punky, rocky, hoppy, funky stuff tho'......mostly old stuff.. nowt much has grabbed me this century.....

OOOOH I love Hedningarna and Garmarna!!! Have some lovely memories of listening to Garmarna when I was in Gothenburg in December 2005. Especially reminds me of catching the boat from Salthomen and just going round the islands taking in the scenery.

Do you like Gjallarhorn?? What about Varttina??

I haven't heard any Frifot yet - will have to check them out biggrin.gif
