Hi all x

I'm really really excited! I meditated today, and it was fantastic, not only did I arrive at a place that only guided meditation has taken me too before, but someone appeared to me. At first I couldn't make anything out other than a figure but i got to eventually see much clearer.
She had long red hair in plaits on either side of her head. She was wearing a long flowing yellow dress and carried flowers of different colours. She didn't speak, only smiled and I felt so warm. She seemed to stay with me for a while and then just wandered off...disappeared!

Is there a way of bringing her back? is there a way to find out who she might be? I don't feel I have a lot to go on.
Apart from worshiping the Goddess I don't have any other connection with any Deities thus far on my relatively short journey.

Any help would be appreciated!

Pomona
You could try meditating again and seeing if she reappears. And if she does, you could ask her who she is?

Tas Mania
Flowers make me think of Cerridwen. Pomona has it - ask her! She will return, now that you have seen her. She is aknowledging what you're doing! smile.gif

Give her some flowers smile.gif

Could you describe the place where your meditations took you?
Dont worry too much she'll be back!
Flowers make me think of Blodwedd.

Do you think she was in your mind or in the room? In your imagination or a separate being? Perhaps that's worth thinking about? smile.gif

Flowers make me think of Blodwedd.

It was outside in a large garden, or it could have been woodland, it was sunny and very warm.

She was in my mind, I know this because I wasn't in my room I was outside, maybe in my imagination...I'm not sure. huh.gif

I'm going to meditate again later and see what happens. I'm also going to research Cerridwen and Blodwedd.

Thanks for your replies

As soon as I read your post I was getting the name Cerridwen, that was before I saw the other reply mentioning her, but do try asking.

Thanks everyone I do get a strong feeling she may be Anglo Saxon and I'm particularly drawn to Eostre, but not quite sure why?

Pomona
The only thing I would say about Eostre is that the first time there's a mention of a goddess by that name is by Bede. There's no evidence that the Anglo Saxons had a goddess of that name. Current thinking is that he picked up the pronounciation/name incorrectly and basically made her up.

Not to say that she doesn't exist, just that you'd be hard-pushed to find evidence of her. smile.gif
Etayne
She could also be a side of yourself. Give her flowers, scents, anything that pleases *you*. You can't go wrong- if you find it lovely, and sacrifice or offer it, then perhaps the being you saw will enjoy it too. If it's a part of yourself, then it will also be pleasing, right?

Pomona thanks for the info, I kind of thought maybe it was a bit of a long shot! x

Etayne, maybe you have something there...I do have long red hair!

Thanks

Don't worry - she will come back and make herself known. Offering flowers is a lovely idea, I'd do that and anything else that feels right to you. If you're open to making contact again you'll do it.

When I read your discription of her I thought of the spirit of summer. Perhaps Ceres? Demeter (sorry dont know the celtic equivalent) but did have a very strong feeling of summertime.

Good luck!!
