has anyone ever been visited by death in their dreams? and if so, any idea what it means? I hope that it isn't a warning ! lol or I'm done for sad.gif

Well death in the tarot usually means new starts, I would look at it that way myself, I may be wrong of course tongue.gif
Pomona
LOL! No, it doesn't mean you're done for biggrin.gif

Death in dreams, as in tarot, tends to mean "change". Death of an old life, or of old dreams or hopes, to be replaced by new ones.

When I was married, towards the latter part of the relationship, I was frequently dreaming that I was committing suicide, or was being killed by someone. You often read of people saying that you never dream of your own death - well, I did, I dreamed of being killed by a nuclear explosion, by swallowing poison etc. And of the nothingness and then the rebirth afterwards.

When I started getting those dreams I realised it was time to act and DO something, and so I lit the fuse of the nuclear explosion and I killed off my old life. I (the "I" that I was then) died, and a new me was born.

Don't be scared, the dreams are telling you that there's something in your life which has to end so that the new you can be born.

It's a GOOD thing. Honest smile.gif

I dreamed that I died a few nights ago. It was just at night in my bed, which wasn't too bad really though it was painful. As my spirit went up I got loads of interference from satalites and stuff laugh.gif

Yup, that only goes to show that nothing is ever easy, but if things are going too well, that's when I'd really start getting paranoid! laugh.gif

Well you could either take this one of two ways.

a. you were merely dreaming and as everyone else has said, the appearence of death was just indicative of coming change.

b. you weren't just dreaming, there was something more to it and death as an entity came to visit while you were in a dreamlike state.

If we are talking case b. , the fact you're obviously not gone is a good sign wink.gif - he didn't come to collect you. From my own experience of seeing death as an entity -currently work in care and some*thing* that I put down as being 'death' (a black, stalking figure - very predatory) does turn up before clients start dying. Because they usually do go in threes funnily enough. Anyway, when he turns up, he's more of an omen of what's to come - believe me, you'd know if it was you he was coming for. Also it's not uncommon for people to see dead relatives before they themselves pass so unless you're seeing your dead auntie mabel or whoever and you normally don't - don't worry biggrin.gif

The key to judging which one of the above was happening is to go off feel. How did the experience *feel*, how did you feel when you saw Death? Did he say anything? Did you get any vibes off him?

Still Death's a fascinating figure - don't be afraid of him because he's neither good or evil - just is and you can learn a lot from him.

I go with the idea that death actually brings re-birth or a great change into your life, not with a physical death.

Since we have so many clever dream interpreteres here perhaps some could shed light on the fact that i dremt i was in a disaster movie in which a volcano exploded and a cruse liner crashed into a train and there were lots of people running away from death by fire, smoke, water or crushing pain. I was quite safe though in an old abandoned school. I wasn't scared once it was all rather interesting and I have to admit the special effects were fantastic.

Very very very wierd expierience, dissapointingly i missed the end!!

Yup I've seen Death in my dreams. He looked suspiciously like a rugby player I used to have a crush on.

I have never died in a dream before until last week when I was shot in the head trying to escape a disaster with my family!
Have been dreaming loads recently - wondering if this is to do with my current spiritual flux or the meds I am on!
Have been flying loads in my dreams - only done so occassionally in the past but am doing it loads and am much better at it - again wonder if this is due to new spiritual understandings?

Used to be really into dream interpretation as a xian smile.gif - maybe need to resurrect it (no pun!)
