It's a pity you have this question as a poll because you can only pick one thing on a poll

and it's kind of an open ended question...
Erm...Ritual stuff of mine - drum, cloak, staff, various bits and bobs that have significance to me and which I collected out and about, I do have a gandr(wand) but it's not often used. I have incense and candles but they're more about making my room look and smell nice

As with anything in life, ask the right questions and you will get the right anwers.
I see no answers possible in this poll, sorry PB.

I suppose it depends on whether you mean 'ritual' as in something done for/with the gods, or magic.
Ritually, I own several horns for sumbles (though usually end up using someone else's!). I've got some gear that I only every use for public performances when I'm part of the performance, and that usually includes my staff, as it's too big to use for anything else. Or I might take it all to a pagan camp, but only if everyone else is going to put stuff like that on so we can all look silly together.

For magic, the only constants are herbs and incense (usually self made), though I've used tarot, runes, candles, magnets, crayons, mirrors, silk and other material of different colours and textures, ditto with threads, fire, essential oils, and whatever else comes to hand. Though the ritual items for the last piece of magic were a mop, vacuum cleaner and a brush I use for dusting.

I have and do use most of the things listed, not always for ritual purposes though, I generally just use my mind, and a very old Lincolnshire oak stick!

Imagination is a great thing - but remember to use it wisely! (LOL)

Ah bugger.....
I thought you might be able to choose a selection of things, not just the one...
I was just curious what people like using and what they have, thats all. Personally i love staffs.

I sometimes use candles to help me focus on healing.

I have a dragon staff, plus an athame, but both only ever used for what I call serious rituals, last one over two years ago, but do use candles and incense quite often.

I own all of the items in your list and a few more... but as for using them in ritual or magical workings... Very rarely if ever.
Back to my kitchen hedge witch thing... For example I have a very nice athame that was given to me by a friend... It's pretty and all, but does nothing for me. If I need a real knife I am likely to grab one from the kitchen draw and use that ... likewise I have a staff... and a dodgy knee... yes I have pressed it to use for a ritual, but it is more used as an aid to my walking. Cauldron - well I have a gun metal jam pan which folks call my cauldron... certianlly I have brewed up some goodies in it... from jams, jellies and chutnies to mulled drinks for halloween... it is no more or less magical for its mundane uses.

Long ago no one would have had half the glitzy paraphenalia a lot of folk seem to believe is necessary nowadays! And even if they had, how could they disguise it from prying eyes???
Your body is your magic, most of the time. The rest is often window dressing.
Now, where did I put my stuffed bat...

I have most of this lot...... but at the end of the day you don't need any of it. A good dose of focussed intent is all you actually need.

I have two candles, Which i only use at various points in the year. yule, Imbolc etc.
I also have a scrying bowl/cauldron.........It does what it says on the tin! I put things in it to help me energise them if Im handgin them on to people.
But the only thing I use regularly, is my wand, which is not fancy, its just a Brich twig I picked up in my local woods, adn also my mind, the most important part.
I dont really do ritual as such, very often, except as markers thru the year. I work magick, I do healings and I give thanks to my deities or ask for guidance at times, but thats it.
Personally, I dont think we need very much to do ritual or magick, but it depends on your confidence, style and taste.
tree.........now where did the shrunken head go??......................

Tree, it's probably got mixed up with the babies' skulls again - the ones you keep in the BIG cauldron - remember now?

Heh, heh, don't say I didn't warn ya:
I have an athame for opening hate mail from the "Twilight Zone" (Berlin), and a staff for whacking nosey parkers and depending how often I do it, takes care of drumming. A rechargable pink "wand" (heh, Tas you know what that's for). Candles, well, I do like to roast the occasional "holy-roller" (so I guess that covers the incense burner too). A crystal ball for clonking those who want to see their future in the stars. I have a bugle for calling Morrigan's birds to clean up the mess in the backyard. I have the effigy of a really ugly troll on the front porch (if that counts) that goes with a doormat reading "get lost". As for the cauldron, its in the back shed for boiling corn. My scrying, I do by the river, while the rest, I leave to the Bosch power tools and that mass of neurons between my ears, called a "brain".

Well well what a kettle of fish do we have here. I use almost everything you've mentioned in your poll, however I tend to use what ever I have to hand (usually in the bath).
I guess you could say I use the Element of Water and Fire mainly in my rituals.

I needed to vote for more than one!
I have plenty (maybe too many!) tools and props, but most of the time they just sit there looking lovely. I love beautiful pagan things, but at the end of the day I always keep it simple. Candles, a Goddess statue and myself tend to be the tools I use the most.

I don't have much in the way of paraphernalia, but I do have a statue of Odin. I also made a wand a couple of months ago but haven't used it and may never use it. It seemed like a good idea at the time but I'm not sure that I'll have much use for it. I will be making a set of runes this year (well, attempting to - my craft skills are laughable at best!).

Making your own runes is an awesome idea. I wish I had the time, skill or patience!

I've got no skill whatsoever in that department, but I'm going to give it a go anyway. There will no doubt be swearing, blood and extreme grumpiness - there always is when I try to do a DIY type job.
