Full Version: "what's A Pagan"
UK Pagan, The Valley > The Circle (all pagans together) > General Paganism

On the questionnaire I filled in yesterday from this forum, the first question was "How would you describe your religion to someone who didn't know what it was?"
This did get me thinking, so I'm going to put it to all of you.

During a general conversation (down the pub, in the supermarket whatever) the topic of religion comes up, you proudly say you are a Pagan / Wicca / Druid etc, and then they say "Yeah I've heard of that, what exactly is it?"

Now you don't want to get into a theological debate but you want to answer the question, how would you answer it simply enough to satisfy your friend, but not go off on too much of a tangent?

I normally say "Well it's a very natural religion, instead of just having a God, I have a God and a Goddess, it's about harmony and balance"

This normally satisfies people enough and if they pursue it I can get into more deapth.
What do / would you say?

well as i dont have a god or goddess as such, i usually say i worship and appreciate nature, and the changing of the seasons.
