Haven't been on here for a while.
Being a full time mumma to a 13 month old at the moment.
I am on an online support group for an affliction I have.
Sadly there are some heavy duty american bible belt xtians on it and everyone is discussing religions.
Being the only outspoken athiest/pagan I'm getting a little stressed.
Sometimes it feels like talking to a bunch of monkeys about quantum physics. sigh.
And so I come here to an old haunt and get absorbed in the posts in all forums and think how comfortable and wonderful it is here.
Thank you for being such a diverse and intelligent and lovely group of folk.
Will stay here just a bit longer before I'm off to bed smile.gif

Keep with the belief you know is for you - despite what they try and say!
Plus, I reckon we're often much better served by sticking with the devil we know as well... o_devil.gif

Thanks guys!

Honestly I have no objection whatsoever in debating religion and beliefs. Actually I enjoy learning from it. But I am sure of my beliefs because of personal experience, evidence and from asking questions.
It seems as soon as you start questioning xtian beliefs they get really personal which is sad and quite annoying.
They go on about "how" you say stuff is offensive when in reality it's "what" you're saying that they don't want to hear know what I mean.
Also if one more valid question is answered with an avoidance of the question or a simple "we have faith so we don't need answers" I'm going to start pulling out my hair lol!
I have so enjoyed reading the posts here. I don't know why I was gone for so long.
One of those things I guess. rolleyes.gif

I do understand where you're coming from here! If anything, it's actually WORSE when it's Atheists you're dealing with - I should know - I live with one! biggrin.gif

Lol Tas
However I myself am an athiest pagan.
But I hate how athiest seems to be almost like a 'bad' thing. From some of the reactions I've been getting it's almost what 'black' or 'gay' was 50 years ago! eek!

Hm, I agree with what you say about getting avoidance of ansers of questions, and some people seeing atheist as some kind of "issue" lol
Im not an atheist, but I know many, and most are fine and we enjoy good discussions about things.
Its all about how confident ans assured you feel, not just in your own faith, but in yourself as a whole.
I have never been happier since I turned to my true path, and mylife has turned around. Mostly because i now have the self-confidence I lost many years ago.
Here's to being a 30something"!!!!! YAY! lol
