I came across this GEM.
http://www.masteringmagickwitchcraft.com/?t=gaIt takes Witchcraft by rote to a whole new level, and I initially pmsl.
But then I began to wonder...
What about the ethics of doing this sort of thing? If it's a huge scam, and also if ( though I doubt it) her course IS actually based on Granny's secrets...

Heh, if you ask me the whole thing reads like something out of the "National Enquirer".

You mean those might not really _be_ Granny's own DVDs from 87 years ago? Perish the thought!
And who'd pass up the idea of paying $397, no, $297, in 3 easy payments of $99 each!
All for the prospect of money spells that, if genuine, would doubtless have raised your wages by a whole groat a month...
Unless she's had the alleged documents independently verified by a serious historian, then my money's on the scam. Mmmm, smell that bullshit.
In the unlikely (but hey, I'm a trusting soul) event that there genuinely were some real documents, then by turning them into trash to peddle to the gullible, then she is doing not only genuine witchcraft, but also serious scholarship into unauthorised belief and folk magic, a grave disservice.

ok ill crank my jaw up now. just when you think you've seen it all. tas id rather be a looney witch that sometimes gets things wrong than subscribe to this very very expensive tosh. scam yes but there must be some people sucked into this but as the saying goes 'a fool and his money' will it help to get witchcraft to be accepted i doubt it. but being a witch thats not what really bothers me. to think that others would consider that my magic is not as good as 'granny's' now that bothers me and who the hell is granny to say that her magik is the best. its personal to each witch herself surely, we all have great strengths and weaknesses.
phew that just fell out now i can laugh about it lets hope it stays over in the states.
oh my god i wonder how many saps are doing love spells and lottery spells does she give a refund if they i dont work

I doubt it. Granny probably gave her a hefty dose of scepticism in her inheritance (oops, sorry - cobweb festooned chest) so she could pooh pooh with impunity the mere notion some of her spells might fail!

Hmm... smells like a scam to me.
Who would pay that??? Knowledge and teaching shouldn't cost. Well, not that much anyway.

Wonder if you can claim your money back if it doesn't work or whether it's non-refundable? Wonder if you refused to make the rest of the payments how she'd argue it in court?

I can but wonder as I read through that super, fantastic, once in a life time, genuine offer, why certain words and phrases like "crap", "Bull Shit", "Con merchant", "Load of Bollocks", "Scam", etc., etc., kept racing around in my mind.
The strange part is that during my life, I have seen and read almost identically worded, super, fantastic, once in a life time, genuine offers, for money making schemes (earn as much in a week than Bill Gates as made in his life), motor oil that will make your car run forever (without the engine ever needing service or repair), buy our fuel additive and never need to buy another pint of petrol and so many others.
Sorry, I would sooner believe a used car salesman or Insurance company Rep.
Have I led to much of a sheltered life. Are there really mugs out there who are so stupid they fall for these cons.

Jape your granny was obviously a lovely lady much on a par with my own sweet ancester and on a much higher plane than Mary Bibby, Alex Sanders's granny who contented herself by slicing his testicles and shagging him on the kitchen floor. So he said

I have Cassandra Eason's complete book of spells (

) , the whole book costs a lot less than one of Granny's and it's just as dusty!
Speaking of refunds :

From witchcraft to consumer protection -- in 273 years
Next month looks to be an interesting one in the UK. On 26 May the Fraudulent Mediums Act of 1951 — the law that replaced the Witchcraft Act of 1735 — is likely to be replaced by an act called Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations of 2007.
People who enjoy certain sales claims and practices of feng shui (real and McFengshui) should pay rapt attention, because this could affect you.
Basically the change in the law means that if someone pays for a Tarot reading, a psychic reading, some kind of spiritual healing, or a feng shui service and the consumer complains about the experience, the practitioner could be investigated and even prosecuted.
Anyone taking money or accepting “gifts” in exchange for a service is bound by the new regulations.

You have to wonder, if this stuff is so amazingly powerful, what was it doing stuck in a dusty old trunk in the attic?
