Full Version: Clearing Negative Energies

I work in a fairly modern office built in the 1980s in Cambridge. It is located directly next to an old church yard. I wonder if the building may have been built on the site of further burial ground or even an old Pagan site. It may be coincidence but nearly every person in our office has been affected by injury or illness in some way or another and quite serious injury in some cases and all within a very short period of time. Does anybody think that this might sound like the environmental energies are affecting us or am I spouting rubbish. smile.gif And if I'm not talking twaddle can anyone suggest any thing to do to try and clear the area? I'd be grateful for any feedback you could give me.

This is what I do when I move into a new home:

Firstly - clean like mad, get rid of all the dirt and rubbish. Ring a bell/clap in all the corners, cupbards, etc.

Smudge with sage (not traditionally British but I like the smell!)

Secondly - sprinkle with salt or salted water.

Vacuum.

Put up whatever protective wards I deem necessary.

Thanks Rhiannon, that's certainly something to try, though I think I'll wait till my colleagues have gone home before I start running round the room clapping - I think they might have something to say about that! wacko.gif laugh.gif

Well if it's all happened within a very short period of time and the church has been there for a very long period of time...unlikely.

Also, cities don't just happen overnight, they build up over hundreds of years so inner-city churches and sites like this often harmoniously integrate into their surroundings. But yes, sometimes the Amityville syndrome does occur.

Maybe have a think about what else has been going on around the specific time of the injuries. Could just be a case of things happening in waves, they often do - planetary, one might say wink.gif

If you go waving your juju bag about at things that weren't to blame in the first place, you might just go giving them ideas wink.gif

Rhiannon's advice on basic cleansing and feng shui is good.

I agree with Rhiannon! you could also try finding out the lands history, just for your own peace of mind! smile.gif

At the risk of losing all street cred and sounding barking mad:

There was something in the wardrobe when I moved into my current house. It was benign, but as I always do a house cleansing I just did a little something to advise it of what I was going to do and suggest it found a 'safe space'. I also went very easy around the wardrobe area so it wasn't pushed out with any other negative energies. The thing moved out anyway a week or so later, maybe it just didn't like us?

So if you think there are good energies around, you can always advise them of what you're about to do.

Good luck.

What I probably should have explained orginally is that we haven't been in this building very long and it's a very young company in that most of us have joined within the last 6-9 months, so we're unsure of what has gone on previously.

Doesn't sound barking mad to me, Rhiannon, sounds perfectly reasonable!

Albertine, if you get chance to be there alone at all, or at least undisturbed, try to see if you can listen to the energy there. Sometimes, if you give them chance, they will show you who or what they are, and what they want. If it turns out not to be benign, you have a better idea of what you're dealing with. And if its something simple that is happening that is causing this reaction, then maybe it can be fixed, or you can explain to them.

I've found that the cleaning thing, and then going round with Tibetan singing bowls and, alternating with politely asking for space works for me. Having said that we lived for 6 months in Holland in a huge loft type apartment. There was a thing in the bathroom that I couldn't shift no matter what. A holey stone and Thorshammer kept it cornered in the walk-in shower, but I was always so uneasy there. Hubby thought I was crazy, but during months we had 3 boiler breakdowns, a sewage leak, a gas leak, our water cut off twice and many other niggly problems - pigeons roosting on the window ledge, a hot water pipe that screeched when the heating was on - all sorts of household mayhem. I was glad to leave !! rolleyes.gif

OOOOOO i know the feeling, me and the family came back from egypt last oct, within the week of return i had loads of accidents, dropping knives within inches of the kids, fell from a ladder punctured my foot with a plug, kids screaming at night, bad dreams all of us, everything in the house breaking down.......it was crazy but everything that happened was only within the house.

even thought my husband fairly open minded thought i was barking....i got a friend round to do card reading, and house reading, we cleansed me, the house and all the ornements we bought back....she made up a protection bag for me which i still have in the bedoom and hey presto all ok.......

nice thing is she recognised my guadian angels and exactly in the house where i feel them.......it was fab to hear someone else say they could feel the energys and that they were positive. i have always felt protected in this house (not in others) and i was so awful to feel unsafe in it until we cleansed it.

tey and cleansing, pehaps do a reading, and i agree, luck often comes in waves, maybe some one has some negativity that is spilling over.

As a first-line defence of cleansing, I like to use frankincense, or sprinkle Florida Water cologne around an area. That's a very simple and low-level working, but it does tend to freshen and clean an atmosphere.

Another good one is to steep some bay leaves in boiling water (place an upturned plate over the bowl so the infused steam doesn't escape but drips back down into the bowl) then leave to cool to room temperature. You can then sprinkle this around the room, paying particular attention to the doors and windows, blessing it as you go.

Rosemary water is another good one, prepared the same way. You can spray it around, or use it to mark the boundaries.

I'd agree with perhaps looking into the land's history, as it may prove helpful.

Rosemary, rosemary and more rosemary..mixed with natural salt if you wish.

As you may gather, am a great believer in rosemary. smile.gif

Your office may be on a spirit road, perhaps carried by an underground water channel.
You can divert the effect by putting some iron/steel or copper stakes in the ground but really I'd recommend you find a dowser.
