Woken up early this morning by partner to celebrate dawn, saw it was raining and fell back to sleep. Wished the sun a nice time rising. In the rain.

Got up at ten, dashed into town with partner and partner's son and got things for swap circle and also 6 different bottles of mead. And nettle beer.

Got home and found three friends on doorstep. yay!

They helped us cut back loads of brambles and build a bonfire, do a mead tasting and make the luck charm for the swap circle.

We were all quite impressed with it, so we made another one for us.

Then we had a bbq and drank the nettle beer and harvested elderflowers.

Now seriously pissed on mead and nettle beer.

Tomorrow am going to a dowsing/scrying workshop.

Best soltice yet! And no stones needed....

How about everyone else?

Woken at seven by small boy tapping my face and giggling. Lay in as a treat while hubby minded him and made breakfast.

Waited for Asda to deliver makings of a roasty dinner along with week's shop.

Went with husband and son in backpack for a long walk in the local woods. Checked out the frog and newt pond to see how the tadpoles are getting along, soaked up lots of lovely energy. Brought back 2 pebbles from the stream, a flattish concave one and a round one that would sit in it.

Made a huge veggie roast while husband painted up pebbles with a runescript and "LITHA" in runes with gold paint (very beautifully). These are then placed on the altar.

All ate until we were really full and then had some lovely ice cream as a treat.

Evening plans were thwarted by my over-excited son refusing to sleep until 10.30 ! But that's what festivals are about when you're one year old I guess biggrin.gif

Rather strange and not as I'd planned.
Came home early from Prom dance (11) intending to get into outdoor gear and have a bonfire etc and sit up. Got a phone call from a friend.
Nothing odd in that - except on the Thursday evening I had dozed off and had a very vivid dream that she had been up to house, found me asleep, and left...

She asked of she could come round, so I said aye. Told her of dream and concerns. Turned out she had been at the end of her tether on Thursday due to family issues, and hadn't known where to turn. She didn't know why she'd rung so late or come over, but said it was the bestthing she'd done as my house was helping her (the atmosphere etc).

We shared a glass of red wine each and talked till 3 a.m. When she left, she thanked me.

Stumbled into bed exhausted, woke to a grumpy OH (not much change there then) and eventually talked through stuff and went walk in rain and gales. I managed to talk to some trees and also meditate.

Put flowers all round, had delicious dinner, lit lots of candles, listened to music.

A time of changes and taking stock, methinks.

Morning Saturday Shopping, as usual. Quick chat with the Big Issue seller. I know where he comes from, that he had back problems, that he visits a gym... must find out his name someday...

After Lunch birthday present shopping. In High Wycombe. First time I've been to the place since the turned the town into one gigantic ugly shopping mall. Limited success with the shopping but better than I feared. Couldn't get a good harmonica. I'll have to go internetweb. Wycombe - yuk!

Then marshalled the dregs of the Moot up to Coombe Hill. Josie says: "I'm only in and the poor door is going to be on its own again..."
Says I "Take her with us!" So we did. It was overcast, but there was no rain (or only a smattering). Dog had a great time, and was very well-behaved in the car. Met old friends I hadn't seen for years, just up Coombe Hill for the Solstice. A drumming group appeared and did some expert drumming (for a change). It was great. And I played a few tunes on my whistles and Willowflutes.

And one of our Moot, who had been given up for lost - literally , lost on the way - appeared in time to hear the end of the drumming and have a quick chat with everyone.

Rolled home at ten o'clock tired but happy.

Went to a local beauty spot to watch the sun rise, weather was beautiful. There were about eight people there, including a christian monk!
It rained for the rest of the day so just had a o_beer.gif in the evening.

Finished work at 4:30am, drove to local country park just in time to see the disc of the sun clear Winter Hill, went home and went to bed.

On the Saturday I travelled about 3 hours to meet some more Heathens and Galina Krasskova in Frankfurt and we did a faining in a really nice park.

I came back to Bamberg and then did my own thing on the Sunday which involved hiking to this sweet spot near a beehive and making my own offerings. I didn't have time to pick up any mead from Kunst u. Magie so I just had to make do with what I had which was pretty dire....good job I wasn't asking for anything tongue.gif
