Hi All
I have a DruidCraft Tarot deck and I am trying to get used to reading them. Occasionally I do have periods where I keep doing readings until I get one I like. biggrin.gif But 'they' seem to be on to on to me because I start to get non-sensical cards thrown in. I get the feeling the cards get frustrated and throw me a curve ball, but this could be my imagination.

On wednesday I shuffled the pack and drew a random card and got 'The World.' On Thursday I shuffled the deck, drew another random card and got 'The World' again! The next day I got 'The Sun'.

I haven't drawn another card since, but I did go into a book shop on Sunday and peeped in a Tarot book. I opened the book on one page at random and on this particular page it showed a 'dummy' spread. This included 'The World' and 'The Sun' and 3 others but the main picture taking up most the page was 'The World'! I thumbed quickly through the book but couldn't see any other instances of the card.

I'm ashamed to say that I have an annoying thread of scepticism running through me which tries to dismiss this as coincidence. But I did have a positive Tarot reading recently regarding my career and I was wondering if the cards I mentioned are connected with this.

Sorry to waffle on blink.gif But I was wondering if anyone had any insights into me drawing these cards, in terms of their meaning, or about the synchronicity or coincidence. I do find that coincidences seem to increase when I get more 'in touch' spiritually.

Thanks in advance.

A friend of mine seems to get "the Tower" (reversed) as a regular thing. It's not surprising. She's widowed, scraping to make ends meet, and life is tough. She feels trapped, and well might she feel it.

The World: you might say, "the world is at your feet". You are in a good position, you have good opportunities, and the ability to grasp them if you choose.

The Sun: "Happy happy happy!" Good weather, good surroundings and good opportunities, and good things growing.

You are in a good place at the moment. Don't be surprised, and don't be frightened. Use it to your advantage, build on it, and make it last as long as you can.

"Everything's moving and nothing stands still;
Everything changes: in time all things will."

Hi Fred.ITG, thanks for your reply. I hope the cards prove accurate 'cos I've been waiting a long time for my ship to come about. I'm trying to remain patient. smile.gif

Having looked at your profile and website, it surprises me that you would try to dismiss coincidences - after all, being aware of these is (imo) essentially what enables you to create such cuttingly accurate observations of human nature, as elicited in your artworks!

You have observed the world - and its foibles/vagaries, and translated your impressions. To me, this is what we do subconsciously when we use tarot as a means of making sense of things.

I never now use tarot to foretell, preferring other methods, though I sometimes take out the deck for a wee peruse. For me, it's a bit akin to a Catholic using their rosary beads: it's a means of focusing.

So the world keeps popping up. It's happenstance, yes. What YOU interpret from its repeated appearance is something you know. Ask yourself. The answers are there within. wink.gif

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. And thanks for checking out my website and forming a flattering opinion. Your reply has reminded of why, although I haven't contributed much to this forum, I have always remained connected with it.

I guess I want the Tarot cards to present solutions. They seem to give me hints at directions to take, but as you say they really leave discovering the way, to me. I haven't really examined myself for the answers. I have choices to make and tend to make decisions based on what I think will be viable, rather than what I feel I would get the most out of, creatively. Here I have a bit of a conundrum, because as much as I long to give people pleasure with my work, I also find it very humbling when I get praised for it. It's the old 'being worthless' childhood hangup. rolleyes.gif

BTW what is your favoured method of foretelling?, although as discussed, this isn't an avenue I'll be pursuing to get the answers I need.

I occasionally scry using a mirror, or a candle flame to induce a meditative state where I get impressions. Then there's the bag of bits and bobs - things with symbolic meaning to me. And dreaming I suppose, though it's a bit weird and hit/miss.

I have the (un?) fortunate knack of sometimes just "knowing" and also of "telling" - the latter is something that I don't deliberately do though. It just happens as and when. And can be disconcerting to some folks!

On the World, maybe think: microcosm/macrocosm. wink.gif
