Yeah but Rhi could you really cope with conversations which revolve around words and phrases like 'party on' and 'totaly'?

Yeah, man. 'Party on' was old, like, years ago. Rock it, dude. Totally.

Seriously, though, I like surfers.
Rhiannon
Hey - you're talking to someone whose Dad won a heat in the European Surfing Championships back in the 1970s. We suspect that the judges may have got Dad mixed up with someone else . . . . . .

I love surfer types, fun to play with, but yes Hogbear, I wouldn't want to take one home with me.

As an interesting aside, some surfers feel surfing is actually a religion and/or spiritual exercise, some of them even offer boards to the Sea.

hey man im almost 38, i love the surf the mind is willing but the body cant do it no more. living near the sea we have some real old knarly surfers round here skin like leather and balding bleach blonde hair laugh.gif please dont set me up with one of those. mind you that would be my luck.

surfers here tend to offer booze and pot to the sea who is their god. they worship the power of the sea and the strength of the wave. man its a true religion. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

you gotta love them chilled out wave chasers. biggrin.gif

I'm wondering if there is any point now to this thread? It's gone waaaayyyy off topic and for some reason VLF hasn't returned to clarify the points raised...

I'll keep it open if anyone has any observations relating to the point of the thread, or if VLF decides to come along and answer the questions - I really don't want to have to lock it, but please, stick to topic? smile.gif
Moongazer
This might not be quite on topic, Pomona, but I just think its funny.

I mean, VLF sounds like some kind of STD, and the arrogance and ego young males never changes, apart from the fact that this is the first time I ever heard of anyone developing a religion out of what is essentially a very cheesy chat up line "I vant to vorship you, for you are a goddess" (would he follow this up with "your cave or mine?")

Well, I wasn't going to say anything but I did wonder if some sort of lubrication was used.
Athena
I'm sorry, I was trying to be serious Opal and Wulfric! o_rofl.gif

OK, then I won't bother asking if the tools are from nature then, or man made ?

Where do a-sexual organisms feature in this?
