how many sun gods did the romans and greeks have. I have been looking up on Apollo and his atributes and cults and i have found that he wasnt only worshiped as a sun god the romans had taken other from other culturs. like Sol and Mithra.


dose any one have any other info? or dose any one worship Apollo and how do they percive him?

Romans tended to invade they assimilate the culture. So rather then try and convert everyone to their gods, they basicly did the reverse, they said 'ah my sonny Jim, that god over there you follow is the same as our god except he has a thing for togas, we believe in the same thing, are we not the same?'.

And the locals went something like 'yeah I suppose'.

The Romans may have said they are the same gods but were they in reality?
