Question...Do any of you use signs/symbols drawn in air, mud, scribed, formed by your hand/fingers etc in your magick?

If so, any particular ones that you feel useful? Any certain paths?

I only ask as this works well for me and I incorporate signs and symbols in much of my practise, I was wondering what others do?

I know there was a thread about this before which had a lot of correspondences and symbols on it.....

Ah hah! Looking for ideas!

I use bindrunes alot. Runes are my chosen divination method which makes it easy for me to mix and match the runes for a certain outcome. These can also evolve into sigils, although I am less good at those. I only get as far as the first stage. I haven't managed to do the works of art some people manage.

Runes here too. Elder Futhark.

I love them because they're always just there in your head ready to use (that doesn't describe it very well but it's the best I can do laugh.gif ) We have a family bindrune that I've had tattooed on my arm and we use them for that kind of thing a lot - consolidation, protection - as well as mediation. Don't really use them for divination much.

I also use the Thorshammer - have a large collection of pendants and use the sign for protection.

Also feel drawn to drawing eye symbols although they're not really part of my path. So occasionally use them when I feel the need. smile.gif

I use sigils a lot, you can load them with details which helps to focus the magic on the intended target.
