Now I've not really been into magic and spells and all that... but I'd like to have a go.

Anyone know any good fertility spells? i would be so grateful to hear your experiences with this kind of magic smile.gif

Honestly?

If you want a spell or working for something like that as a serious option for fertility, I would suggest you go to someone who knows what they are doing. There are several members on site who you could regard as experts in this field. I wouldnt "have a go" with something like fertility.

I thought we'd just literally had a thread about this? I posted to it but slow internet means I can't be bothered to track it down. Bowl of water outside back door at night is the traditional Rwandese answer.

I find it interesting that everyone goes mental over love spells and whether bringing about love by magical means is ethical and whether it can backfire, but people have never seemed to ask the same question about fertility...

Especially with the ol' saying: 'what the gods make, they can break' ohmy.gif

Just an amused observation wink.gif

Oops sorry i didn't realise about the recent thread.... must go and take a peak... rolleyes.gif

Thanks for the tip about the bowl of water though smile.gif

I'm not sure why it would be unethical to use a fertility spell. i suppose if my husband wasn't desperate for another baby too it might be...

Maybe I should have rephrased my question - If anyone knows any magic that would encourage me to ovulate for the first time in the last 3+ yrs?! (I can fully cope with the fertilisation bit lol! wink.gif ). But maybe that would be too much information for some hehe!

And of course there is always the risk of the gods 'taking away' in any pregnancy. But if people didn't accept that risk when they want a baby then there would be no children being born...

take care

ps thanks for the PM Xalle - will be PMing the person you suggested soon.. not had a chance to stop and think today!

Well it doesn't matter to me either way as I have no ethical issues over using magic in its myriad forms - but it's something I do find interesting on the theology side of things. Magic was invented to deal with such tasks as fertility, money, love - the particulars of life.

But those of a B, C and D-moral persuasion who balk at love spells still tend to see fertility spells as on a different par - something organic smile.gif

This doesn't involve you as you don’t see things like that; I'm not asking you to defend your reason. I'm just musing.

As for 'taking away' - I was more concerned a person could end up with the brat from hell: child of Hades lol Or what was that fairytale about the boastful mother and the kid with the tuft of hair...? Or just a child with a rather auspicious outlook; perhaps the messiah lol Christ - literally, you could give birth to the second coming and bring about the downfall of Paganism lol

Depends who answers your prayers wink.gif

I think the difference between love spells and fertility spells is that you can get both patrties to agree to a fertility spell if they both want it. For a love spell, it's different, if both parties want it, why do they need it? Love spells are to get someone who may or may not feel the same, if they agree to the spell, they obviously do feel the same, so no point doing it. As with all these moral issues there's no point listening to what other people think, you have to go with what feels right and wrong for you.

But with fertility spells there's a third party - who doesn't get a say wink.gif

There's no point asking them, when they get to be teenagers they all tell you "I didn't ask to be born..." biggrin.gif

Are we operating on the assumption that every spell is simply a application to the gods here then?

I only ask because when I do a spell I don't involve any gods at all.

I have no opinion either way on doing the magic. Magic after all should benefit us. But I would have thought a fertility spell would be the epitome of the adage 'be careful what you wish for, for you will surely get it'! I would set those spell parameters out very carefully.
