Autumnal Equinox 2008, saw the completion of another new stone circle, adding two to the Yorkshire landscape since 2000.
Known to many Pagans as the Sentry Circle, the site at Lenthor Farm stands atop a steep valley opposite an existing Roman road. Called Sentry Circle because of the dowsed and percieved energies, by Derek - farmer and site landowner - of a Roman Sentry standing on watchful guard, the Circle has had great affect on all participants during its construction.
Each stone is dedicated to a species of the Druidic tree calendar, and the final erection of the two gatestones (three and a half, and just over one and half tonnes respectively) followed by a dedication ritual by local High Priestess and Priest consecrated the site as a place for all peaceful Pagans and earth centric peoples.
This movie is dedicated to all the people Pagan and non, who made this circle a reality.
The first clip shows the stone was moved by sled up the gradient using pulling power alone: Halfway up Aus called for a little healing energy to be directed at a fellow Dagda known as "Panda" who at the time was quite ill. So together with the usual grunts and groans, chants of Panda helped to move the stone along - hope you're getting better mate.

This clip shows how the stone was unloaded, dedicated and then raised to a none-too safe angle using rope and A-frame. The sun was setting fast and even the geese came to see us on their way home - a good sign.

I like to refer to this particular planting as "the lively stone", the odd shape making for some interesting moments , it is up? It almost wasn't... and yes that was the local Police helicopter checking out rumours of 100 strange looking people stood on top of a hill.
Celebratory Erection (link)
One of the first things I said, was that Sentry never felt right before, but now at least it feels complete, and tales of a spiritual presence are already emerging from the contributors to this future ancient monument.
I feel priviledged to have taken part in hauling the first of the last, and the filming of the second gate stone.
