A few second ago my boyfrieds hamster was discovered lost we have searched every where and cant find him. His house mates turned to me , Knowing I use magick and asked if we could do a spell to try and bring him back and/ or help find the hamster. We did a chanting spell and noww i guess we wait and see how it develops.

my question is what do others do in this situation? When i am asked by some that some how know or asume i practice witchcraft to do a spell i feel a little embarrassed and apprehensive.

how do others feel?

how would a group spell like the one i did be conducted?

I usualy work on my own and in a group it hard to get people all focused.

and i feel sometimes that they just do it for the fun of it rather than take it seriously.

Truthfully I would never do something with someone who knew nothing about it. I dont view it as an "alternate" form of entertainment. Thats not a criticisim of you BTW, its jus that, in some ways its like being a comedien. People keep coming up to and saying things like "be funny" - "do a spell". I've also found that sort of magick has a serious tendancy not to work.

I would do the magic of leaving food out and hoping it works.

A large (empty) coffee jar, with some tasty treats in the bottom propped up at an angle by a "stairway" of books usually does the trick with escapee rodents. They can get in but the sides don't have any grip so they can't get back out.

Oh yeah, and I thoroughly agree with what Xalle said

This is more about being asked to do "Spells on Demand" though. Whats everones opinion on that?
Presoanlly Its a sliding scale, For those who take the mick and have no intrest but come running to me when summat goes wrong , then it's a straight "No Way" I'm no ones prefoming Monkey.
For those who have a genuine intrest and are symathetic then I Will think about it and maybe do a private ritual for them.

As far as "revenge" type stuff goes. Theres allways 2 sides to every story and If A situaltion is That serous then shoudnt the wounded party be doing someting themselves rather than passing the buck?

I had a rat once that moved out of his cage and into the back of the fire for 6 months (luckily the summer ones !!). Then one day I came home and he was sitting in his tank as if nothing had happened ! No spells involved though

I have dowsing rods to find important stuff. Unfortunately I also have 7 cats so it is unlikely they would have been successful in Warloks position.

I am asked on a fairly frequent basis for spells - especially those involving the affairs of the heart. I have never indulged, purely because in that particular circumstance, it didn't deem it nessasary. All they needed was time to heal. But it is odd, that the moment people find out, they think I am some sort of on call miracle worker. And if I refuse? They tend to either 1) get the 'ump, depsite my reasoning and explanation or 2) advise me that I "obviously have no power". The cheek.
I tend to help where I can, if I feel I can. But that, for me, always depends on the person who is asking.
