With Yule approaching, It's about time I bought my Yule cards and got them send out.
I don't send Xmas cards, so a Yule card keeps family at bay.
And better still, it's more appreciated by my Pagan friends.
But I can't find any anywhere this year.
Does Anybody have any recommendations of where I can buy some.
Thanks
BB

I send Yule cards too. You can get them at the Goddess and the Green Man in Glastonbury. They have a website but I think they might be a little expensive
You could try making some. Once you get started it's fantastic fun and if you really can't draw you can use the computer. I think I may do that this year
The other alternative is to search for seasonal cards that don't have Christmas on them. You can get them just with seasons greetings, etc on them and these are quite acceptable for pagans

there's some quite nice cards in Woolworths.
they have very plain pictures of ivy and holly and mistletoe on them.

or you could go along to a craft center ie hobbeycraft they have card making demos and you could make your on relatively inexpensive and with more thought and love gone into them

I made all my own yule cards last year- but this year will have to resort to shop ones due to lack of time- thanks for the tip about Woolworths tho, its useful to know I can get some nice plain ones with Seasons Greetings on them

I buy christmas cards that have "Seasons Greetings" inside rather than "happy christmas", and I tend to buy from the Cats Protection League rather than anywhere else because I have a big old soft spot for cats (between my ears).

I make ones for special people, when I have time (which isn't very often!) and buy "Seasons Greetings" ones otherwise - though I was very cross last year, when I got my nice, Australian, "Seasons Greetings" cards home to find they had "Best wishes for christmas and the new year" on the inside!
That was fixed with the addition of an insert though, so almost all my cards ended up being personalised last year!
This year I have a couple of packets of cards from last year, so I'll be using those

I may make a couple if I have time though

I tend to rely on Season's Greetings. I went through a phase a couple of years ago of buying blank cards and writing Happy Yule in them, but the non-pagans ripped the piss for months afterwards so I don't bother with that anymore.

I bought merry christmas ones last year, then for pagan pals I scored out christmas and wrote yule, my how we laughed!
I know, i'm sad.

ah. Smiths, it was I got muddled.
they do say Merry Christmas, but I really like the designs. just lots of lovely winter greenery and berries.
sadly they're just single cards, rather than a pack, but a few people might get them from me.
but mostly I'm thinking of doing a design and printing them on my computer.

I just buy cards with ordinary pictures on them that say something innocuous like festive greetings or seasonal greetings and usually ones that support a charity. That way they can be for pagan and non pagan friends alike.

The Woodland Trust do really nice ones that are blank inside - this year I've got some with pics of animals in the snow on, and some with frosted plants. As to what I'll write in them, it'll probably be dependent on who I'm writing them to and whether they're like-minded folk or not!

They also have some 'Cool Yule' foil cards in packs of 10, not the most briliant of designs, but they are charity cards so thats me workmates covered, with may be a few 'pagan' cards bought mail order (if I aint left it too late) for those with whom I discuss my faith - none are pagan though just a mixture of Sikh, Hindu, Islam and atheist

Ps I have ordered some cards from
here not as cost effective as a chainstore, but i have seen a lot worse on the web.

I've not seen those.
Woolworths is it? (I got muddled and said Woolworths when I meant WHSmith.)
I'm interested. what charity, what do they look like? I'll see if I can find them.
I'll think about making my own, but probably not get round to it.

yep its woolies, there is a pic
here, though like I said they aren't the best in the world of design. Though in real life (I bought some today) they aren't too bad
The charity is I Can - which is apparantly a UK charity to help children with communication problems.

I make my own Yule cards. Sometimeare cross stitched, some are punched, some are cut outs, most have glitter on them because I'm a big kid and its fun to make them. Everyone whether they are Pagan or christian gets a card that mentions Yule, there is no mention of christmas

Well they send me xmas ones when I'm not xtain so they get Yules ones

I made mine a couple of weeks ago

they're quite fun, Kev. I'll keep my eyes peeled
(as I said, I hope to make some, but I never get round to stuff like that, so I'll buy some cards in case I don't)

I've actually just bought the cards for me and mum to use this year from M&S. 30 cards for £5, and it's 3 for 2 - 90 for a tenner, bargain

they all say 'seasons greetings' and have sparkly non-religious piccies of xmas trees and baubles. One set is a set of three cards which have dark blue glitter for the sky, and black fir trees over white ground. The three cards work beautifully as a triptych, so I might hang onto one of each and maybe frame them!
