Go on.I'm sure you have some..
The only ghostly thing to happen to me,if you can call it that,is a heavy door slamming shut in Maidstone musem.
The only people in the room were me and a friend looking at Anglo-saxon grave goods found on a local dig.
The door had a heavy block keeping it open.
All of a sudden it slammed, and we heard the guard say something about its happened again.
Also mum said as a child in the house she used to live in,the cupboards would open and close by themselves.
Dad said his house was haunted too.Something pushed one of his sisters down the stairs and lights would go on and off.
You lot must have something more exciting than this.

My friends house is really haunted, there is sometimes a strange sweet smell of something burnt, and when you sit in the living room, there is almost like you can see something in the mirror in the hallway from the edge of your vision..
There has also been lots of strange things happening, like one time suddenly big icy drops of water fell on her, she checked, and there were no leak or anything..
The worst was once she woke of something pulling her hair, and her hair standing up..
I don't like that house..

I have two that come to mind that I still remember to this day. Both happened on the same street I lived on at the time. I was 7 / 8 at the time.
The first was at a friends place. She lived in a flat and round the back of the building was a dunny with a little sink and a door. In case of emergancy? I don't know. Either case it was a bright summers day, no wind, just the sun and we were playing chasy. I ran around the back and skidded to a stop because there was this figure of a man reading a paper on the toilet. I could see through him but he was there. Then I heard and saw him speak and he said "Excuse me" in the most annoyed voice, leaned forward and slammed the door in my face. No wind, no nothing. I ran!
Second one was a couple of weeks later one of the houses down the road was going to get torn down cos it had been burnt and the people had left the house. Again with my friends we went up to the property and entered the house. I went up the stairs into a bedroom where the door frame was all burnt and part of the room was black from soot, including the roof. I turned to a sound and saw a small girl in the doorway crying. She vanished when one of my friends came up the stairs and we both saw flames on the doorway. She stepped back from the heat and I was stuck in the room so scared. I ran through the doorway and we ran all the way home. When we got home my mother wondered how I had managed to burn my arms and legs.

I once lived in a council house where I was often woken in the night by a baby's cry and where sometimes I would feel something hit me in the stomach as I walked up the stairs. It was only after I had moved out of the house that I learnt that a previous tenant had thrown her baby down the stairs and it had died from injuries received when it hit the front door.
Sorry that this is a very sad story.

well John still lives here. he's very shy adn scuttles out of view if you look at him, just as a neighbour told us he would in the garden if you saw him.
and where I work I usually get there first, but I'm not alone there.
there have been things all my life.
I once went on an overnight event at Tutbury castle, where just so much happened.
there was a meal, then Lesley the Curator did a talk as Elizabeth I, which was very interesting.
I described a blue grey spiral just to her right, at the side of the fireplace, which she later showed me in a photograph.
when they took us into the kings chamber, a fairly normal looking room, I immediately saw a figure in the corner diagonally opposite the door. one of the sceptics went and stood straight in it! it was about a head shorter than him. we were instructed to hold out our hands in fromt of us and see if anything touched.
I felt something slide under my hands, that felt like a cat that's come in from the cold, that sort of cold, smooth feeling. a while later something ran behind me, I felt my knees knocked forward a little, and than my friend, who had been there before adn alway seems to attract the children, told me the girl was there. she took my hand and put it where she was, and I could feel that she was there. she started to play with my fingers and jewellery, I could see my rings turning. a few other people came over to feel the area, and then went back to their places on the wall. then after a while we sat, adn the girl sat on my friends lap. the little boy arrived and stood watching for a while, and then annoyed that prime spot was already taken, sat on my foot, with his back to my friend and played with my hands, definitely sulking.
when he left I got a definite sense of the colour green.
several other visits to the room brought up other interesting results.
on another visit My friend felt a bit ill and left, at which point the girl immediately sat against me, and I could feel her put her hand on mine, and with her other, close my fingers over it to hold hands.
One of the sceptics was asked to stand by the foot of the stairs and relax. a shape beside him kept sliding over him, and there were several points when I could see right through him, to the stairs behind (and by this I mean the flesh and blood person standing there) there were points when I had to look at the ground for his feet to see where he was. when the shape blended over him he seemed to grow taller, broader and to have no head at all.
when we went back in with the next group someone who wasn't with the previous group, went to walk into the corner and saw a headless body.
something started to circle the room, slowly at first, a large dark shape that walked to each person, looked them up and down, and went on to the next. after it's first circuit it sped up, and it felt like the room was moving with it. it made most of us feel a bit dizzy.
at one point when I was out of the room, someone picked up the execution sword,at which point things went a bit odd in the room. and when Lesley came out she asked who'd touched the sword.
strangely at a point during the evening Lesley mentioned my craft, saying that she was usually cautious about Witches, as most are dabblers that can wind things up there without knowing what they're doing, but she said"now I know who you are, I know you'll be fine"
I wish I'd asked her what she'd meant by knowing who I am, but I didn't think to at the time.
there was also a tour of the grounds. in the undercroft someone was taking photos, adn asked if anyone was wearing a light coloured top with a dark belt over it, as they couldn't see anyone in the room dressed like that. no one was. when we all looked closer at the photo, the person appeared to be kneeling (you could see their feet at the bottom of their back) but their head was at the same level as the people standing.
the sceptics left early, more than a little nervous, but saying it was because nothing was happening. YEAH RIGHT!
it was a very interesting, very very active night, and I'm very glad I went.

I've seen a few ghosts, the most recent of whom was and old man I saw walking towards me wearing an old-fashioned 1930's style suit & a baker boy hat. He tipped his cap to me as he passed (didn't look 'ghosty', looked solid), I smiled back and the moment he passed out of my peripheral vision, he disappeared! Saw him once afterwards - he actually got on the bus with me and crossed the road, then disappeared the moment we reached the other side and I looked the other way. Couldn't have been a live human being, as there was nowhere for him to hide behind, & certainly not in the blink of an eye.

My aunt lived in a house in the same street as us, a priest had died there, his name was Father Macgill. Aparantly used to give me sweets ( in the presence of my mum, before you lot even go there.)
He would constantly open doors, we wopuld all say " come in father Macgill."
Then when my aunt was on holiday, and had been for a fortnight. My mum decided to go in and air the house, clean it up a litle for my aunt coming back. The house reeked of cigarette smoke ( Father Macgill was a chain smoker; died of lung cancer too.) Both my aunt and my mum smoke, but never in the house due to my little cousin having a weak chest.
Seemed like he had been partying while everone was away!

I've always believed in ghosts. One tine when I was younger and wore braces that came out of the mouth easily as the teeth adjusted.I was going to see the dentist the following day to have my teeth adjusted. That night they came out and almost choked me. A voice woke me up and I took them out until the following day. When I got up from bed to put them somewhere safe there was a shadow in a corner of the room that shimmered slightly then disappeared from view.
Where I live now is haunted. I've had smells appear from no where, items disappear then reappear, items no one had brought into the house appear. Seens thing just out of my vision, Salem my cat has many times hissed at something that wasn't visable. I guess the best one was a couple of friends seeing someone who looks like me at the living room window wave at them....I was in the kitchen at the time..........
One of my friends suggested the idea that the ghost followed me as the activity didn't happen until I moved in here.

I used to go stay over at a friends' dad's house at weekend sometimes with him when I was about 10/11. It was a Victorian type house and I always remember feeling a little uncomfortable in it. On a few occasions at night, I'd wake up with the feeling that someone was watching me and sometimes if I looked at the foot of the bed there'd be a tall and imposing figure of a woman (fairly old) dressed in what looked like a maid or nanny's uniform of the period. I stopped staying there soon after as I didn't feel very safe.
When we moved into a new house in Cornwall in 1998, we came to know of a ghostly presence. We believe it was of the woman who had lived there previously; an elderly lady called Amy. More than once things whould move of their own accord, radios and tvs would come on and off with no one in the room and one time she chucked my dinner knife from my plate and across the room (I was seated at the time so it couldn't have slipped off).
She wasn't really destructive, I think she just wanted people to know she was still there and once my mum "explained" aloud that we meant no harm and would look after her house her activity gradually ceased and now we sledom "hear" from her anymore.

As a kid I use to see quite a bit, usually more in my periferal vision, always made me jump. Neighbours next door had a scary experience tho, the were in bed one night and the bed started bouncing, scared them half to death - although they thought it was one of the rottiwelers that had got stuck... but nope, nought there.
These days can't say I really get spooked by anything. My house just feels cosy, not sense of anything else being there.
