Well there is a 'complete idiots guide to paganism' out there but as you can see from the thread on So lifestyles, paganism and sex it might not be the most well researched book around.

There is also, apparantly, 'Paganism for Dummies' but I can't find it on Amazon. However I did browse through 'Wicca and witchcraft for Dummies' and found it less than accurate.

Your best bet is to read everything and discard most.

The best guide is that if the majority of sources agree, the 'true' history books agree, there are practical and understood reasons behind it and it feels right for you, then its probably halfway to being the right thing to do - not easy but then if a religion/faith/spiritual path is easy is it worth following?

Hi Shane..

There are numerous very good beginner books out there, I got much out of the following two books when I started my own meanderings 9 years ago..

Principles of Paganism - Vivianne Crowley
Principles of Wicca - Vivianne Crowley

They are both very easy to read and understand.. happy.gif

Sadly there is no one book, what you're looking for is within you and you need, as Cos says, to read much and discard most to find it. Interaction with others is also helpful so here and other forums is a good place to start. If it's your thing, look around for moots in your area too. Never be afraid to disagree with something you learn, if it's not for you it doesn't matter in the least that it's right for lots of others.
