Ah cyberterrorism!!

OK now which of us Pagans have been doing things to Iraq??

It now says:

ATTENTION: we have been hacked and the main page has been wiped clean. I am working on getting it operational again as quickly as I can. for now you can only access the site through pages stored in your registry so please be patient as we work this out thanks.

If you access it via this url - http://thepaganvoice.co.uk/forum/index.php - you get the following message...

'ATTENTION: we have been hacked and the main page has been wiped clean. I am working on getting it operational again as quickly as I can. for now you can only access the site through pages stored in your registry so please be patient as we work this out thanks.'

hi all I spoke with Asrai earlier and he's trying to get it sorted... also the main index page on WiccaUK has been hacked but it can still be reached if you go through the main forum threads

I've just tried the Pebble Site, and that's been hit as well.

I know An Fianna got hacked about six weeks ago. It is still recovering from the hassle it caused. I really hope that UKP does not have the same thing happen to it after the work that people have put into building it up over the last six months or so.

I asked about that at the time Mike, as another site I'm on, Dragonswood got hit then too. We're different software though, touchwood a harder kind to hack. Deebs being the clever soul he is also has a few things up his sleeve should the worst happen.

TPV appears to be back up now.
Nobody is 100% safe from this kind of crap so you have to plan for the possibility of it happening and then hope you never need that plan.

They were likely hosted on an American server by an American company, in America. These "people" have little interest in the sites they deface, they most probably didnt know or care which sites they disrupted with this. That is to say they probably didnt target pagans, we just happened to be on the server that got hacked. (my theory anyway)

Yeah, I'd be inclinde to agree with you there - it's an anti-country thing rather than an anti-faith thing. I was just wondering if it was an isolated case, but obviously not. Though I can't seem to be able to access the sites via their suggestions -just have to wait and be patient until things go back to normal - ce la vie!
