Sorry I was trying to find the original thread to post in, but couldn't find it.

I just happened to be looking at something else, and clicked on a link that took me to this site, which I think you might find interesting:

Women in Freemasonary

err hmm i still dont get what freemasons believe in !!!!!

If pressed, your average Freemason wouldn't be able to tell you what they believe in either, Amy!! The vast majority of them use it as a men's club, somewhere to have a drink with the lads and spend an evening out without the "little woman" being able to complain, because it's "Lodge business". The collective wisdom on the subject holds with it all being based in Templarism, and as Templarism is alleged to have been a sect of Catholicism based on Goddess worship, you should be fine, hon!

Freemasons do not have a belief system as freemasonry is nothing to do with belief. My husband is a master mason and in his lodge alone there are Jews, Catholics, members of the Anglican church, Muslims and Pagans. They are neither a religious sect nor a cult of any kind. When they are there, they neither worship nor discuss religion at their meetings, so if you ask "what do freemasons believe in?", the answer would have to be, 'ask them all individually'. It is a bit like saying what do doctors believe in. blink.gif

Here is what is billed the oldest Mason web site and appears to have good info on Freemasonary.
