Full Version: A Symbol/sign For Paganism...
UK Pagan, The Valley > The Circle (all pagans together) > General Paganism
frater az
ok a simple question for everybody! (ha ha yeah right)
paganism is a general term for all the many paths that each of us walks in some way or form!

recent posts on symbols and break downs of what paganism is...

i know for some this might seem an impossible question, but for the sake of all arguments (which i know ppl like to do) tongue.gif lets say that you can only pick 1 symbol to represent the term...

PAGANISM

what would it be?
Cosmic_Fool
An umbrella

Nice one Cos! of course my innate cynicism coupled with having spent a lot of time around pagans would suggest this - o_thwak.gif
Cosmic_Fool
perhaps you could replace the stick with a folded brolly?
Esk
An excellent compromise sir!

Could catch on!

Like that a lot Cos, only problem is that it might look like an upside down Thor's hammer.

not if we make it multicoloured

I like it. But it would be hard to have it animated like the smilie, if it were a badge and I feel the effect may be somewhat lost then.

Just read on another forum about National Slap A Colleague Day.

If we hit them with coloured brollies, we could claim we were performing a religious duty.

Then they couldn't arrest us (could they?)

What about a question-mark as a symbol for Paganism?

Since I've not yet come across a reasoanble definition that covers Paganism, a question-mark would seem like an apt symbol.

A thousand years from now the Pentacle will be forgotten.

:-) Doubt it. That would require the Christian churches to change, which is impossioble.

I like the brolly smack, it's great - are we having that added to the emoticons list, then?
Cosmic_Fool
