Today, I had a really good day! A good acquaintence of mine, is moving, to a new place, nearby, but wants all new stuff! So, I went over to her place and she always has nice quality things, i got a dresser, a whole dish set, new knives, plant stand, tons of candles, towels, easily over a 100 bucks, worth of free nice things!! I never expected soo much!! and yes, all things, I can use, and ohh a microwave too!! and ceramics etc, and and.. I have a friend, who always wants you to pay for her stuff, usually and she's always suprised when I'm getting rid of stuff and just give it to her free. Thats my belief, anyway.

Theres soooo much stuff , in this world and i really believe what comes around, goes around. everytime, i've moved, I've given away all my stuff free and I'm always been rewarded by getting great new free stuffl. tho I admit i'm a scavenger biggrin.gif lol I love teaching my friend, about the wheel and she's starting to get it smile.gif The Universe is bountiful and i feel blessed!!

Rainbows Whispered~
so anyone else have the same kind of stories to share? smile.gif

Oh, great! Free stuff! o_biggrin.gif
Yes, I believe you are right. Sometimes you just feel you are on a roll! And a good feeling turns into good actions which makes others feel good and THEY act good and there you go! Right back at ya!

Right now, I feel as if I am in the negative equivalence to that. Unfortunatly that spiral also works the other way around... I´m not sure how to brake it and get it to move in the other direction. mellow.gif

deerheart, easy to get the cycle started again! wink.gif

See, that homeless guy, even if you're broke anyway and he might buy it on liquor or whatever, give him a buck or two. Or sometimes, i go buy groceries, for someone, I see homeless. So they won't spend it on drugs, etc, depends on situation.

Go to the animal shelter for an hr or so, hug some kitties or dogs.

See that old lady struggling opening the door and laden down with groceries, go help her put them in the car.

If you bake, and I don't, lol, make up an xtra batch and leave them for your neighbors..or new neighbor, or someone who's having a bad day.

If you like kids, volunteer to watch someones' for an hr or two..

Got some jokes, email them to your buddies who like them.

send a card to a friend, just saying simply how much their friendship means or email them..

See?? tons of stuff, and I bet you'll come up with your own ideas..
~~~~
and no matter what you're going thru, always remember someone somewhere has it worse.
Give thanks for what you Do have and the increase that will happen in your life.!
Daily affirmations, and giving thanks, I swear they help!!
Hi whisperedwind and ye all! Thanks for the suggestions! I already work as a volonteer, at the local womens shelter. Am also of its committee. Havn´t helped.
The baking was an excellent idea! I used to do that years ago, bake a mountain of e.g. cinamonrolls and invite everyone I knew to eat like theres no tomorrow. Fun! I will do that again. Probably.
Oki, lets see... rolleyes.gif What´s happened? Yesterday I started a weeks vacation. And the rain started the day before. My latest vacationperiod was in early july. When it rained. dry.gif
I´m thinking desperatly here. Is there really no good stuff going on???
There is always the basics to be thankful about. I am healthy, my sons are healthy, we have a nice (though too small) place to stay, I have a good job. I thank the goddess every night for that. o_hail.gif
Ah well... I´ll get back to you, right? Maybe it takes some time to turn the wheel around??
Thanks!! o_kiss.gif
not to trivialise this thread, but something I've noticed whilst driving around is that if you let someone out in front of you, you are more likely to put them in a good mood, then they pass on a bit of that to someone else, maybe letting them out in front of them or whatever, and that way the happiness spreads like a domino effect. Admittedly you might stop feeling happy as soon as you get to work and see all the stuff you gotta do, or you get home and find the cat's crapped on the bed again, but it's little things like that which in my mind keep the karmic wheel turning a bit at a time. It's not about being a saint or a martyr, just a nice person.
On the flip side, you know how angry you feel when someone cuts you up in the car, or won't let you out, well, you take that out on other people too, and you spread a bad mood that way.
not "you" specifically, folks, but "you" in general. smile.gif
...happiness spreads like a domino effect.  ...It's not about being a saint or a martyr, just a nice person.
I certainly agree with that Elunedd smile.gif Simple things work wonders in this respect. For instance, I'm always polite and chat to the bus drivers on the coach service I use to get to and from work. As a result they all smile, say hi, even make sure I have someone picking me up from the stop at night before they let me off the bus biggrin.gif And since I discovered that our morning receptionist loves cherries, I've remembered to give her a couple of handfuls from the bag I buy on the way to work at the wednesday market. Despite being fairly well known by everyone else as Oscar the Grouch's slightly less benign sister, she's perfectly sweet to me and the people who come in around the same time as me smile.gif
There are people who have bad luck seemingly undeservingly and far more often than others. One friend of my mothers has gone through several cars, been threatened with eviction, had illnesses (including appendicitis), her husband has been seriously ill, their dogs both got run over, and their business struggles seriously from time to time. But on the flip side, she is clairvoyant, a talented tarot reader, a healer, has a beautiful operatic singing voice, paints, and has so many friends due to her sheer 'lovelyness' that she always has someone to turn to when things do get rough. Which doesn't make up for the fact that bad things happen, but it certainly helps her get through it wink.gif
I'm not trying to rain on your parade but I think there are things that need saying too. None of our ives are the products of solely our own choices, the wheel is turned by all manner of things, sometimes, even often, people who do nothing wrong even try to be kind and helpful ... live god awful lives. No amount of wheel turning on the part of jewish children in Auswitch could have made that place 'good', babies starving in Asia or youths caught up in the wars in Africa can't make it all OK. Yes we can and should do our bit but the world is very complex, the web of Anwen tangled and knotted ... life ain't always fair.
Sorry, don't see how that's a good thing to do. Unless it's to ease your own conscience.
Ahh, I knew, I'd get a reply like that lol laugh.gif , thats good tho.
Let me explain, its not to ease my conscience, but because I've simply been blessed a bit more, than someone else.
It all depends on the situation and what my intuition is saying.
If I saw a junky mom with a kid, I wouldn't give her money, I'd go buy some bread and peanut butter and jam and chips, yeah chips, it may be junk, but so what, it tastes good? lol
Now, in this particular situation, I was being really blessed, i had barely any money, of my own, but had found this great place, i was moving to 2,000 miles away. This homeless guy, his eyes, the way he looked, he'd been living on the streets a long long time. Who am I to get to judge, why he's there? Yes, many are alcoholic, but most also suffer from mental illnesses and alot went thru the horrors of the Vietnam war.
I would have been on the street, many a time, if my mom hadn't helped me. This was way before, I got my bipolar diagonses and people just thought i was lazy, I wasn't, I was ill, but not the recognizable kind.
So, to me its about being compassionate and trusting my own instinct, in each indiviual case.
Like deerheart said, she and her kids are healthy, they have roof over their heads, yeah sure, we all want more, but sometimes, we're just lucky to have that.
I do believe in reincarnation and that we all have lessons to learn. No not everythings fair, right now i'm sitting on the floor, bc i have no desk, but thats ok, I'm fine with that. My babies, are doing good, I'm in a beautiful village, so whether its polyanna or not, I try and find the best in each situation..
I truly believe, the more we give thanks, do affirmations, work on ourselves, that things will somehow work out.
I rather be an optomist than be a downer.
And attitude makes alll the difference!!
shrug, thats just me ...
and believe me, i have days, when I get really upset and annoyed and feel life is unfair, then I look at what i do have..
I also truly belive in giving back, to others, that have less than we have.
So, just my thoughts.
I have been offline for a couple of days. Just wanted to say that I think that every action can be selfish. I mean, if I give money to someone who is poor (I give every month to "save the children" and an orphanage in Bukarest) that can be thought of as a selfish thing, because it makes me feel better. So, there is no such thing as altruism?
Or is it the action it self that matters, and not the motives?
smile.gif
(And one more thing; I live in a small town in Sweden, there is no homeless here..) wink.gif
deerheart, did you ever watch Friends? There was an episode, with one of the characters, phobe and whenever she tried to do something selfless, she always got something back and it was driving her crazy!! lol
So, for me, its actions that mean, just as much..
Maybe, we're all doing things for selfish reasons, I don't know, and its late! lol
I still believe in the flow of the universe, the cycle continuing onward, so whether its being selfish, on my part, or just believing in creating and going with the flow of the energy, of the Universe, I'll pick actions... actions have results.. my beliefs.
