In the post about Hemp seed oil, someone mentioned something about eczema so i thought i'd share with you this wonderful cream i've come across.

It's called AR2, it's from Holland and Barrett and it costs i think £4.95 for 30ml and it is fantastic stuff!! It's herbal, but i haven't used any of my steriod cream with it, so i dunno how it'll react with steriod cream, but i've been using this a few weeks and it's cleared it up nicely!!

I use it twice a day and really can't stress how good it is!

Another way to help the itching of eczema is a collidal oatmeal bath, which you can make at home.

You will need a blender or coffee grinder or food processor. One cup of oatmeal and that can be instant (unflavored) or regular oatmeal or quick oats.

Blend or process until very fine, like powder.

Then sprinkle in the tub of water, mixing it and feel the bottom to make sure no clumps. If there are clumps, break them up. Be careful in the tub with oats as it will make it more slippery and soak in it for 15-20 minutes. Then pat dry with a towel.

Well my mate uses it on her daughter, (she was the one who recommended it to me actually) My mate's daughter is only just turned two so i suppose it depends what age..however if your not sure just pop into holland and barrett and i'm sure they can advise accordingly.

Hope this helps smile.gif

Is this it mystical_moon? AR2 Borage Cream

It looks worth checking out for my kids thank you smile.gif Most of the year they're OK but in the winter behind their knees can get bad - their school is kept far too hot and it starts when it gets cold enough for them to need trousers or tights on sad.gif

yeah that looks like it. It lasts for ages as you don't need a huge amount!! My friends daughter had it all over her legs and arms and it completely cleared it up!

Hope it works on your kids too : )

Danae, what your kids have sounds like chillblains. If so try giving a cup of warm whole milk (not skimmed, semi skimmed or UHT) before bedtime every day of the year.
My mother suffered badly with chillblains on the back of the knees and on her ankles from being a child til she was in her late forties. Someone told her to try the milk and she never had chillblains again.
